I mostly go for old school single player campaign FPSs like Halo Combat Evolved, James Bond 007 Nightfire, and Red Faction 2. Right now I've just started Mission 2 of
I.G.I. 2 Covert Strike bought from Good Old Games. Even at the default settings, it's the most difficult game I've played.
