The cop holds out his arms and scoops Sammy into a big bear hug, and then ruffles his little boy's head with his hand after releasing him from the hug. Watch the hair! He brushes her hand away saying please, they're practically family at this point, and holds out his arms to hug her. Pleasantly flustered, Angela leans in to the hug and they embrace warmly. After a couple of seconds though, Dirk's hand crawls down the side of her back to wrap around her waist, making the hug unexpectedly intimate. Angela's eyes shift to looking unsure and a bit uncomfortable as they hug for a second or two longer before breaking. Sammy has told him so much about her, Dirk says, he's glad they're finally getting to meet after all this time.
