"Martyrdom by pinpricks can be painful," said the wise Abbess Katherine in Rumer Godden's novel In This House of Brede.
Perhaps this martyrdom can also extend to the viewer, unless he can interpret the movie as a fetishistic crescendo of surrealistic close-ups of pins pulled through a massive tit rising out of a dank forest of sweaty chest hair (and on a more erotic note, Leather Rick's thickly tattooed hands and paradoxically, ethereally long fingers).
Ultimately, the overall effect resembles performance art, a body pierced symmetrically by the same type of pins resembling mini-hypodermic needles. This output is much more consistently artful than usual in this series despite the usual blurry transitions.
In forty-five excruciating minutes, Leather Rick deftly and clinically pierces all areas of the body except the face of The Ghost, a hairy-chested bear. His trimmed beard and fine-featured face actually look kind of Greek. The Ghost ends up resembling a field marked with stakes.
Or perhaps a pincushion, especially the thick uncut cock with the flat head and shapeless wrinkled ball sac. A search for metaphor to describe the painful experience has lead me to invented a word: scince, a combination of scream and wince. Why the neollygism? Because The Ghost is so zoned out by the experience, he is silent. One can't even see him wince.
But the soundtrack wails and screams with cheesy horror movie effects, which appropriately crescendo whenever Leather Rick treats the ripe and funky cock and balls like a pincushion.
After a while, the viewer finally may cry out in exasperation, what more can he do? Yes, take them off, and Leather Rick obliges. The land spouts blood in trickles and spurts. The dark Dionysian wine color of the bloody cock is a bit much for the viewer to digest, however poor the close-ups at this point, but The Ghost finally seems to take a breath after this emission.
I also breathed when the last needle came out of the already pierced tit. Leather Rick sprays, hopefully with some form of disinfectant, the Ghost.
An amazing martyrdom that ends cleanly. What more can one ask for?
