a film from the anthology of french short films from the beginning of the last century polissons et galipettes/french erotica 1905-1950. it is well known that when an art form appeared, be it painting, sculpture, engraving or lithography, creative individuals would certainly begin to use it to express their erotic fantasies. the invention of photography and cinema was no exception. there is a misconception that erotic cinema is a recent invention. this anthology destroys this myth, showing that erotic cinema is the same age as cinema itself. the films presented on the disc were shot at the dawn of cinema. they not only stand out sharply against the background of modern production of this genre, but also surpass it in all respects. these short tapes were intended for viewing in the halls of closed establishments - in the back rooms of shops, in underground brothels, etc. of particular interest are pre-war films that reveal the inner world of their characters and perfectly convey to us the spirit of a bygone era. many of them are marked by masterful directorial finds and scripts. shot from multiple angles, they were way ahead of their time. these films were made by both amateurs and famous professionals (who, unfortunately, preferred to remain anonymous). in our time, all of them have become cult rarities, as they contain that life and that culture that has remained beyond the scope of classical cinema.
