Searching with more than 250 results? - ShaRinG

Hi all,

I have a question about the search function. It seems like the forum is limited by 250 search results. Put any frequent word like "blonde" in search and you'll get a maximum of 250 results.

Now I understand that if you find the correct thread first and use "search this thread", the results will be more relevant and 250 limit will probably not matter any more. However, in huge threads like Cameron's [email protected] with more than 3500 pages worth of posts, 250 results become a limiting factor.

This problem intensifies as you simply can't (or at least I haven't found a way to) look for a model like "Lucy V" in the search and get only her pics/vids only. That is because any posts including the name Lucy will come up and those of "Lucy V" will be either lost in 250 results or worse: inaccessible!

Now to the question: Is there a way to get more than 250 results? Or is there at least a way to search for "Lucy V" and just get her results in the search?

Please understand that I'm using Lucy V as just an example. There are other similar cases.

you can use option "search this thread" in thread.

I changed to 500 results. it very hard for server when many users at once using searching function. Forum have at least 20mln posts and search at once in all of them taking time.
I working on optimization but need to think how to do it better.

Thank you for your quick response and reaction. 500 results should go a long way towards solving the issue.
