This is first episode of season 2 of ‘My Best Friend’s Daughter’ If you haven’t played season 1, I strongly recommend you to do it. It can be downloaded here at Patreon site, however it’s not necessary.
For this new game I have changed the gaming engine. You’ll not just ‘click and search’ but really need to think about your next step. If you just ‘click and try’ you’ll never proceed. When a girl is present her avatar will be shown in the lower right corner. You can always click the avatar and ask her about many things. She’ll help you to proceed.
In the new game engine there are several events that are based upon random trigger – however the better your relationship is – the better chance to succeed. You can’t trigger all events in this episode, but I can guarantee that you can do it in next episode, so you’ll not miss anything. Episode 1 has 635 new high resolution images.

I know it's only been two days, but the game got a bunch of new players in the last few days (super exciting), and that came with a lot of feedback.

Here are the highlights:
* Resolution and window mode settings, with support for a number of aspect ratios. Note that very wide aspect ratios are a little rough because the environments aren't that wide. The game should be playable, though.
* Settings are now saved in PlayerPrefs instead of the save file. This was just dumb on my part. Now you can load an old save without getting your old settings brought back with it.
* There's now a dedicated slider for the "chatter" volume (the sounds when characters talk). Someone asked me to remove the chatter altogether, but I actually love that feature, so this felt like a good compromise.
* Continue button is now disabled on the start screen unless you have a saved game. This was another goofy oversight on my part. I'm moving so quickly on this stuff, and sometimes dumb mistakes happen since I'm working alone. I appreciate everyone's patience on this. We'll get these growing pains ironed out soon.
* UI has been reworked to behave better on ultra wide resolutions. It's not gorgeous, but menus should no longer clip off the screen.
* Images now crossfade, which adds some polish to the VN scenes.
* The start screen has been given a graphical overhaul. Some people on Reddit had very strong negative feelings about the appearance of the old start screen, so it's been re-done. I dug into some UI animation tools that I haven't used before, and I think the results are decent. I may work these into the rest of the UI over time.

Day 6 evening, again with Lily, and depending on love scores, you might get the first ending, with Lily. There's a special animated scene with more customization than usual, and more animations than most scenes.
Day 7 morning...there are branches here, and depending on love scores, attention you've given to one house guest or another, you might land on the Rose Ending, also included in this update.
Day 7 morning...maybe you've had your eyes on not one, or two, but ALL the house guests. I'd be lying if I said this was not my favorite option. For this path, you'll get a new scene in the morning, where both Lily and Rose help MC get to the finish, as only two house guests can. Lots of animation in this one, though only on act with all three.
Story, continued same sound effects as before (have spent a limited amount of time into understanding how I could make these even better, which I'd like to do, probably in the update or two).
36 static images, 3 fully animated scenes, all of which are in the reply gallery. Two of the 3 scenes are the endings with the two love interests, Rose & Lily.
Updated Sept 10th with new Ren'py code to help with image lag, stutter, and performance; hopefully that's a big improvement...and a bonus sneak peak of the harem ending with all three love interests, another fully animated scene with ~8 animations, also in the replay gallery.
In total then, this update has *four* new scenes in the Replay feature, the most I think I've ever added in a single update, since this was largely focused on animations, not more static content.

There's a special animated scene with more customization than usual, and more animations than most scenes. For this path, you'll get a new scene in the morning, where both Lily and Rose help MC get to the finish, as only two house guests can.
